There is a lot of differing information that is coming our way about the coronavirus. Some professionals say it is all hype and not as bad as the flu. Others say it has the clear potential of taking over the populations of the world with a rapidly increasing percentage of deaths. Some say it’s only dangerous for the aged or those with highly compromised immunity and yet the very first recorded death from this virus was a Chinese medical doctor who was in his thirties, an athlete and in perfect health. All of this confusion can cause much fear on the one hand or totally blowing it off on the other. However, it is daily in the news and we have to deal with that.
In 1918 there was a worldwide flu epidemic that traveled around the world twice killing thousands of people. Penicillin would not be discovered for ten more years. My great-grandmother went to battle for her family in the Heavenly Places claiming God’s promise for her family and though the flu was all around them, not one family member got sick. When we have a close walk with the Lord Jesus, we have the same right. However, many of these promises have the requirement of being close to Jesus and following the teachings of God. It’s kind of like a toddler walking down a sidewalk. If he goes out on his own, he may get bit by a dog or hit by a car, but if he holds his father’s hand and walks closely to him, his father will ensure his safety. Some of these requirements are “if you will give earnest heed to the voice of the Lord your God”;” give ear to His commandments”; “have your iniquities pardoned” and “those whose heart is completely His.”

Step One – Check your relationship with God and Jesus. The medicine comes from that pharmacy. Make sure you are following the teaching from the Bible, not philosophy or religion.
Step Two – Read the scriptures of promise and claim them. Medicine does no good unless you take it or apply it.
Step 3 – Enter the courtroom of Heaven in prayer. Ask that the court be seated to hear your petition as in Daniel 7:10 and 26. Claim that Jesus is your proconsul and petition that a restraining order be written for your family against this plague according to God’s laws and promises. Ask that the court officials will notify all concerned about this restraining order.
Step Four – The Promises of God:
- Psalm 91:5,6 - not be afraid of the pestilence that walks in darkness (hides itself during infectious state)
- Psalm 103:1-4 – The Lord redeems your life from the pit. (a trap or death)
- Psalm 27:5 – He will conceal me in His tabernacle…He will hide me
- Isaiah 54:17 – No weapon formed against you shall prosper.
- Exodus 15:26 – I will put NONE of the diseases on you which I have put on the Egyptians (Egypt represents the sinful, natural world)
Step 5 – Don’t forget to sing praises to God in faith thanking Him that since those who accept Jesus as both Savior and Lord/Boss are grafted into Israel, therefore, His promises to them can be claimed by us. Psalm 28:7 “The Lord is my strength and my shield; My heart trusts in Him and I am helped; Therefore, my heart exults, and with my song I shall thank Him.”
It worked for my great-grandmother and my family through the generations and it can work for you. 2 Chronicles 16:9a “For the eyes of the Lord move to and fro throughout the earth that He may STRONGLY SUPPORT those whose heart is COMPLETELY HIS.” Is your heart completely His?
By the way on a physical prevention level, before you end up at the doctor’s, the very reputable company called Shaklee has an immunity package I would recommend.
