In this DVD, Dr. Melodie Sterrett introduces her vision of the Biblical balance of discipline. Through her personal experience of raising her two adopted sons, she will explain how to find this balance in your home and parenting styles. Since most of us have a pre-condition in our beliefs that is also imbalanced, it is easy to find support for "our side" of the argument "the children need to find more love / no the children need more discipline." It is the proper balance of these two sides that turns children into whole and healthy adults, both emotionally and spiritually. Dr. Sterrett has spent over fifty years in ministries focused on helping children, youth and families develop wholesome relationships. Growing up on a ranch with horses and other animals gave her practical experience in training. Her degrees in nursing, ministry, and Biblical counseling combine to embellish the experiences of a lifetime. Her "no-nonsense," "get to the point" personality helps her to cut out the fat and get to the meat of a subject. She has been a co-founder of several ministries and an experienced musician and public speaker across the United States and other countries. She is also the wife of Dr. Lew Sterrett of Sermon on the Mount ministries. The best testing of her insights came in raising her two special-needs adopted sons.
